My name is Patrick Stein (neé Fleckenstein). nklein software is my sole-proprietorship. I have written a variety of software, write custom software, write reviews of software, write about mathematics, and write articles on various other topics.

I chose the name nklein for many reasons. Foremost, my mission is to produce software that is not restricted to a single number of dimensions or to a single mode of use. The n is to declare n-dimensional or n-ary, and the klein is in reference to Klein bottles. In retrospect, exotic spheres and exotic R4 are a better match for software that is not restricted to one method of use because exotic spaces admit more than one type of coordinate atlas whereas a Klein bottle doesn’t really permit any orientation. Alas, hindsight is the better part of valor (or, something).
